Bernie is a seasoned executive and advisor with 50 years of experience in creating and realizing shareholder value. The first twenty years encompassed various “C” level and director positions with NYSE, NASDAQ, and privately owned companies. The following twenty-five years included time as a managing director of a bulge bracket investment banking firm, founding general partner of two private equity firms and an investment banking firm focused on mergers & acquisitions and recapitalizations of lower middle market companies in the Southwest.
Bernie excels at positioning client companies in the market to maximize their value while expeditiously completing the transaction, be it a sale or capital raise. Some of his greatest successes have been with companies facing market challenges requiring a capital restructuring or sale under difficult conditions.
A founding father of the South Denton County Town of Double Oak, TX, in 1974, Bernie served as alderman, mayor pro-tem, mayor, and municipal judge. With his bride of 56 years, Judith Ann Carrico, they raised their five children in the rural town and enjoy outdoor recreational activities, especially racing sail boats. They are the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren.
